Yes just a few days after bringing home the baby, I had a college senior photo session. Pretty funny story actually. Beverli is cousins with my wife Erika. I guess that makes me her cousin too? Or cousin-in-law? Anyway, I initially planned to have the session down in Old Town Orange. Fatigue, exhaustion, and, OK, laziness kicked in and I made a last minute change to the location. Diamond Bar and Walnut have a ton of little hidden gems for photo locations but I went to my all time favorite location at Cal Poly Pomona. More specifically, the CLA building. If you’ve ever passed Cal Poly on the 10 or 57 freeway, it’s the huge pointy building. Did you know that the point of the building is actually pointing in the direction of LAX as a guide to airplanes? Cool huh? You can’t go wrong with the CLA building and it’s surroundings. You got an ultra modern concrete building with all kinds of cool textures, a famous rose garden, as well as a beautiful Japanese garden. I could spend hours there! So this was the set for this session. Funny thing is, she’s not graduating from Cal Poly Pomona! She’s graduating from UC Irvine! But then again, you probably wouldn’t know that by the pictures unless a) you went to Cal Poly and know the backgrounds in the photos or b) because you just read this and I told you. Hmm….
