What? Really? A blog post? Yes!

Such a bad blogger I have been! But I have reasons (excuses) to my disappearance! On the business side of things, there are a lot of big changes going on in the backend to cause one to go crazy. Mainly, rebranding. I’m working with my awesome graphic designer Claire de Leon of Kalea Invitations on some full blown rebranding which is a long process! Included in that is a MAJOR theme overhaul on my blog which you may slowly see overtime. For anyone that has never run a business or is planning on starting their first business, I guarantee you there are no easy ways into it!

On the personal front, my wife Erika and I are expecting our third baby this May. Due date is May 29 but she has been early with our past two children so we’re shooting for mid May. I’m totally excited as is the rest of the family but I’m gonna be a new dad for the third time. How? Well our oldest is 12, and the princess is turning 4. So each birth has been practically a new one since we got rid of most baby necessities. It’s amazing how much things have changed! No need for a special swaddler($$$) blanket for me! I can wrap a baby better than a Chipotle burrito!

With that, there’s been some rearranging going on in the house. I got kicked out of my home office for the 3 year old to move into and the new baby moving into the 3 year old’s old room which is conveniently across the hallway from us. So if you’re still tracking that’s two rooms painted and my office homeless. Not really! We’ve decided to convert our hardly used living room (you know the nicely vacuumed room no one is allowed to step into but just look at?) into my own studio! This will be a work in progress over time since there are other priorities (baby) to focus on. So for now, it’s a mess, but my desk is nicely positioned by the huge window with a view of, well, the driveway.

So that’s my story/excuse. I promise to get back into the blogging swing of things especially when the baby is born. Or maybe not… LOL You’ll get a year of photos of all my children! I can’t help if I make beautiful babies with my wife!

Just in case I don’t blog, here are a ton of photos from the SoCal Photo ShootOut this past Saturday graciously organized by Hanssie Trainor and Matt Saville. Congratulations Matt on your upcoming wedding! It was a great day and I met a lot of new photographers as well as my peeps from the [b] school- Kate Noelle, Michelle Yam and Kien Trinh. Enjoy the photos, and as usual your comment love is greatly appreciated!!! Take care and God bless!

Beautiful shots! I love the one with the green dress and popping blue eyes! (shootout10) I’m still trying to find my groove as a photographer so it’s great to look at other’s photos and learn from their techniques. Thanks for helping with that! :)
