Sneak Peek: Fantabulous February Facebook Photo Promo & Quick WPPI Recap

So I spent all last week learning and absorbing all I could at the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Trade Show and Conference. Wow. I’m exhausted and my brain is ready to explode. I learned soooo much at WPPI this year and can’t wait until next year! It’s definitely going to take me to the next level and I’m itching to apply all that I’ve learned. Of all the classes I attended the top three were Dane Sanders, Joe Photo and Gene Higa. All three of them have inspired me and motivated me to not just become a better photographer, but also a better person.

This past Saturday was also my Fantabulous February Facebook Photo Promo. Initially this was going to be something small among some friends on Facebook. After sharing this idea with another friend/photographer, Jason Zalameda, we decided to invite as many people as we could fit in a day to come out and have photos taken. Call it overzealous or just plain crazy, we had EIGHT sessions booked AND an almost forgotten winter formal session for some 14 high schoolers! Before WPPI I was thinking “Oh crap, I’m gonna die. There’s no way I’ll be able to do this!”, but on the drive home from Las Vegas being fully motivated and inspired, I was so amped and excited that I couldn’t wait to shoot!

The following is a sneak peek of the results that day. Josh, Lauren, Bronson and all the other CHHS kids, I’m working on it! To those that participated, I thank you so much for being a part of it.
