- I’m a Leo but you wouldn’t know that by first appearance.
- I get OCD when it comes to things being symmetrical or centered.
- I was in a boy band in college… I’ll leave it at that.
- I’m an optimist.
- I have a fear of looking over tall ledges.
- I’ve never broken a bone.
- I enjoy going to the dentist.
- I’m the youngest child. I have one older sister.
- Favorite Food: Sushi or Mexican.
- Favorite Ice Cream: Rite-Aid (aka Thrifty’s) Chocolate Malted Crunch.
Who am I?
I enjoy capturing moments and turning them into memories. It’s as simple as that. Hello, my name is Alfred Bertulfo and I live in the city of Diamond Bar in Southern California. I go by Alfred, Al, or Alf but not Albert, Fred or Freddie. My last name, Bertulfo, is pronounced “burr-tool-foe”. Don’t worry if you say it wrong, I’ll completely understand. I think I’ve heard every variation of it known to man! I have been married to my beautiful wife for almost 12 years and can’t imagine going a day without her by my side. We have three children ages, 14, 6 and 2. I guess you can say we have the spectrum covered for a long while! My family has been the inspiration and drive to become who I am as a husband, father, entrepreneur and creative.
My first encounter with an SLR camera was back in my high school days when it was film. It took a good amount of convincing for my father to let me take his “good” camera, a Canon AE-1, to school. Yes, we had to learn to get the shot right from the camera and then develop it with all these stinky chemicals and what not. Only then to enlarge it on paper and HOPE the picture turned out. This experience has helped extremely in my journey in photography. Oh, and yes, I got an A+ in that class.
